Kiki the Siberian Cat - January 2008
I went downstairs one morning to find Kiki lying in his bed. He didn't move when I put his food down, so I knew something must be wrong. Taking a closer look I realised he'd injured his back leg and couldn't get up. We took him to the vets straightaway and they said it looked like he'd been hit by a car. They x-rayed him and found that he'd fractured his back and leg and that he needed an operation straightaway. We were really upset and worried when they said he'd have to have his hip bone removed, but the vet was really professional, the operation went well and Kiki was kept in for a couple of days to recover. Without ASDA Pet Insurance we would have had to pay over £1,100 for his treatment.

Ruby the Springer Spaniel - January 2008
Ruby was just 8 months old when we found her lying under a bush at the end of the garden. She was looking very sorry for herself. We took her to the vet and the x-ray showed she'd eaten a large stone and it had become lodged in her colon. Thank goodness we had ASDA Pet Insurance, because Ruby had to have an emergency operation to remove the stone. Within a week she was back to her old self again. ASDA Pet Insurance quickly and efficiently paid £843 towards the cost of the treatment - it was a great relief.
